Privacy notice
Last updated 3 November 2026. This notice explains how this website actually handles personal information. It is written for visitors in the United Kingdom.
Who we are
KIKA Beauty Studio operates kikabeauty.uk. For privacy questions we are the controller of the personal information described here.
- Address: Vicars St, Manchester M30 0DG
- Email: kika@kikabeauty.uk
- Phone: +447497455413
What we collect
- Identity and contact details you give us: name, email address, phone number, and Instagram handle if you choose to add one.
- Booking details: the service, technician, date, time, and the status of the appointment.
- Account details if you register: your name, email address, and a password stored in hashed form.
- Messages you send us, and technical data such as your IP address in server logs, which our host keeps for security.
- Cookie choices, and marketing cookie data only if you accept marketing cookies. See the cookie policy.
Why we use it
- To perform a booking contract. We use your details to take the appointment, send confirmation and reminder emails, and let you cancel or reschedule when the booking terms allow it.
- Legitimate interests. We use contact and booking records to run the studio, prevent abuse, and keep the site secure. You can object where the law gives you that right.
- Legal obligation. We keep business records where UK tax and accounting rules require it.
- Consent. Marketing cookies, including the Meta (Facebook) pixel, run only after you accept them. You can reject them or change your mind at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with suppliers who help us run the studio:
- Our website host, which stores the site and its database.
- Our email delivery service, which sends booking confirmations, reminders, and password resets.
- Meta Platforms, only if you accept marketing cookies, so we can measure advertising.
- Google, only if you choose “Show map” on the contact section. That loads Google Maps.
Some of these suppliers process information outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on the UK’s approved transfer safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
- Booking and invoice records: up to 6 years, in line with ordinary UK accounting practice.
- Account details: until you ask us to delete the account, unless we still need the booking record itself.
- Cookie preference: 6 months, then we ask again.
- Server security logs: for a short period set by our host.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, or restrict your information, and you can object to some uses or ask for a copy in a portable format. You can also withdraw cookie consent without affecting a booking you have already made.
Email kika@kikabeauty.uk. We may need to confirm it is you before we act. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Children
This website is aimed at adults booking beauty treatments. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 16. A parent or guardian should book for a younger client and can contact us about that information.
