Cookie policy

Last updated 3 November 2026. This policy covers cookies and similar technologies on kikabeauty.uk, under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. We also use similar storage, such as pixels, only when you allow marketing cookies. Strictly necessary cookies do not need consent. Everything else waits until you choose.

Strictly necessary

These keep the site secure and remember your cookie choice. The site does not work properly without them, so they are always on.

  • laravel_session — keeps you signed in and holds the current visit. Expires when the session ends or after the session lifetime.
  • XSRF-TOKEN — helps prevent forged form submissions.
  • kika_cookie_consent — stores Accept, Reject, or your custom choice for 6 months.

Marketing, only if you accept

If you press Accept, or turn marketing on in cookie settings, we load the Meta (Facebook) pixel. Meta may set cookies such as _fbp to measure visits that come from our ads. If you press Reject, that pixel does not run. See Meta’s own policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Google Maps

The address is shown as text without setting Google cookies. The map itself loads only after you press “Show map”. Google may then set its own cookies. That request is separate from the marketing choice.

How to change your mind

Use in the footer, or clear cookies in your browser. Rejecting or turning marketing off stops later marketing cookies. Cookies already set by Meta stay until you delete them in the browser.
